The role of the Honorary consul is different to the previous Royal Thai Consulate General and the new Honorary Consul’s role is different to the previous Consul General Dr. Simon Wallace. 

The differences are the new Honorary Consulate:

• Is an unpaid, volunteer position working for free with no benefits, no salary, no staff and no budget;

• Works part time;

• Cannot issue visas or passports;

• Cannot certify documents;

• Does not do births, deaths or marriage certificates;

• Does not do translation services;

• Does not do power of attorneys;

• Does not do legal work;

• Does not do fingerprinting;

• Has no official office address in Victoria.

- ไม่มีที่อยู่สำนักงานอย่างเป็นทางการในรัฐวิกตอเรีย
